Ralph Sepulveda Obituary
Ralph R. Sepulveda, entered into eternal rest on October 23, 2013. He was 82. Born on April 11, 1931, the only child of Ralph D. and Marie (Patron) Sepulveda, in the Inwood section of Manhattan. He attended Good Shepherd Elementary School, Manhattan Prep., and Manhattan College where he received a B.S.Degree in Chemistry in 1954. He then entered the U.S. Army as an enlisted man, earned the designation of Medical Specialist and served in Reykjavik, Iceland until 1956. He was employed by Lever Brothers for 35 years as a Development Scientist where he was granted numerous U.S. and foreign patents. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Nee Mulligan, who he married on June 22, 1957 at St. Simon Stock R.C. Church in the Bronx, NY. He also leaves 8 children and their spouses, Richard, (Kathy), David (Anna Marie), Deidre (Sal), Andrew (Lisa), Denis (Daniela), Dorothea (Steven), Douglas (Jennifer), and Donna (Brendan), and 21 grandchildren, Kristine, Tristen,Alexandra, Mary, James, Sara, Clare, Megan, Julia, Emily, Ryan, John, Michael, Erin, Charles, Natalie, Kelly,, Audrey, Gabriella, Eleanor, and Sean.
Ralph was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Parish for 45 years and was a member of secular Augustinian Recollect Fraternity. He was a daily communicant and altar server. He was also an Eucharistic Minister in the parish and at Good Samaritan Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Scarr Funeral Home, Route 202, Suffern. In lieu of flowers, donations to Tagaste Monastery or Sacred Heart Church in Suffern.

I worked for Ralph as a technician at Lever Brothers Co. from 1976 - 1980. We both attended Manhattan Prep only we were 20 years apart. Ralph was my mentor and taught me product development in laundry detergents, which I continued in for the next 30 years give or take. I will miss Ralph. My condolences to his family.

The Manhattan College & Prep alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings & Manhattan Prep community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". The family of Gerrie Bolton/Eustace would like to send their condolences on the death of Ralph. My mom(deceased) and dad were very close friends. My mom went to school with Dottie in the Bronx. My mom and dad often went on double dates with Dottie and Ralph. My father lives in TN now and was very sad to hear the news of Ralph's passing.
