Armond Marcucilli Obituary

Marcucilli, Armond "Monte"

90, of Danbury, CT, formerly of Harrison, passed away peacefully on Jan. 15. Monte was born July 29, 1921 in Port Chester, NY. He married the love of his life, Grace Barletta Marcucilli. Monte is survived by his loving children, Bob (Wendy) Marcucilli of Norwalk, CT, Ted (Kelly) Marcucilli of Harrison and Rosanna (Rick) Johnston of Ridgefield, CT, his adoring grandchildren Jason (Charissa), Paul, Melissa, Aimee (Chris) Bester, Rebecca and Jack Johnston, and his great grandchildren Jordan and Olivia. He will also be sorely missed by his brothers Al, Herbie and Ted, and numerous cherished nieces and nephews. Monte was truly loved by everyone who knew him. He possessed an unbelievably kind heart and extremely generous spirit. He was a very hard working man and determined to create his own success, which he did when he created Grace Plastics in the late 1950's, an unbelievably successful plastics injections molding company. Monte was a staunch and generous supporter of the Harrison Huskies and took such great pleasure and pride in filming their games that he earned the nickname Cecil B. DeMonte. Always a jokester, Monte possessed a sharp and witty sense of humor, bringing a good laugh into any conversation. He was a diehard fan of the NY Giants (baseball and football). Monte will forever be loved and sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. Reposing at Guniero-Farenga funeral home in Port Chester on Wednesday from 4-8PM. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday morning with an entombment to follow at St. Marys Cemetery in Greenwich CT
