Dean Drummond Obituary
Dean Drummond died peacefully in Princeton, NJ on April 13, 2013 of complications due to multiple myeloma. Born in Los Angeles on January 22, 1949, Dean was engaged since the 1970's in a multi-dimensional career as composer, instrument inventor, conductor, educator, and musician. His music was performed around the world and he received numerous awards and commissions, including a Guggenheim Fellowship.
Dean is survived by his two children, Ruby and Booker Stardrum, his siblings, Aleta, Barry, and Ilana Drummond, his former wife and good friend, Stefani Starin, and his partner, Starry Schor.
