Cole Sr., Thomas F.

Thomas F. Cole, Sr. died at the age of 73 on January 31, 2012. He was born in Peekskill, NY on November 14, 1938 to David E. and Mary Edith Cole. Tom was a graduate of Hendrick Hudson High School and a member of the National Guard. He married Geraldine Teed on October 15, 1960 and had four children. Tom and Gerry were married for 36 years until she was taken too soon from her family in 1996.As the proud, hard-working owner of Cole's Market, a family business for over 110 years, Tom was a familiar face to many in Montrose. When Tom was not working, he spent much of his time with his family at his home on the Hudson River. He also enjoyed boating, fishing and vacationing in Montauk, NY. Tom was a lifetime member of the Peekskill Yacht Club and the Cortlandt Engine Co. He was an avid golfer, bowler, Nascar, and Giants fan.Tom is survived by his loving fiancee, former classmate Barbara Conklin, and his two brothers David Cole Jr. (Dianne Cole) of Northport, ME and Albert Cole (Gail Cole) of Port St. Lucie, FL. He is also survived by his beloved children Christine Cole Wu (John Wu), Tricia Cole Delamater (Joe Delamater), Thomas F. Cole, Jr. (Val Loh), and Robert M. Cole (Laura Zarrelli Cole) and by his five grandchildren who were his pride and joy; Benjamin Cole Wu, Stefanie Cole Wu, Madison P. Delamater, Camryn A. Delamater, and William F. Cole.Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM at Cortlandt Funeral Home.A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held on Monday, February 6,2012 at 10:00 AM at The Reformed Church of Cortlandtown 2124 Albany Post Rd, Montrose, NY 10548, (914) 737-6482. Interment will immediately follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Reformed Church of Cortlandtown, P.O.
