Tsvi Nussbaum Obituary
Dr. Tsvi Chaim
Dr. Tsvi C. Nussbaum of New City, NY and Netanya, Israel passed away early Monday morning, July 2nd, at the age of 76 after a lengthy illness. Dr. Nussbaum was born in Tel Aviv, Israel to Polish parents, Chana and Yosef Nussbaum. Dr. Nussbaum was a child of the Holocaust and survived the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, liberated on April 13, 1945. Dr. Nussbaum attended Yeshiva University for college and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Nussbaum served as a physician in the Air Force at Scott Air Force Base in IL from 1963-1965. He moved to Rockland County in 1969 and became a successful ENT physician. He served on the staff of Nyack Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital and enjoyed his private practice for 27 years.
Dr. Nussbaum is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Beverly. He was a devoted father to his four daughters: Chani (Chaim Meckler), Susan, Karin (Eric Berkowitz), and Stephanie (Michael Kress) and grandfather to his 7 beloved grandchildren: Jeffrey, Nicki, and Eliana; Emma and Ayden; Adira and Yael. Dr. Nussbaum will be remembered for his deep love for his family and friends, strength of character, sense of humor and commitment to his patients.
Memorial contributions in memory of Dr. Nussbaum can be made to a charity supporting the State of Israel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 3rd at 11am at Hellman Memorial Chapel at 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY.

Your husband and father, z"l, will be deeply missed us. He meant so much to my lost daughter Ellie, and I know the void you must feel even now, almost one month later. May you sorrows always be dimished.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Nussbaum's passing. I worked with him at Nyack Hospital, I was also a patient, and I remember when he was in Israel, he met my sister (who lived in Jerusalem) at the airport in Tel Aviv to look at her nose. He had a wonderful sense of humor (he told me he flew the Confederate flag off the balcony of his apartment in Netanya), and he had a deep compassion for people which showed in his demeanor as a physician. I know his family will miss him very much, as will all the people who were lucky to have him touch their lives.

I was one of Dr. Nussbaum's first patients in Rockland County he was a great Doctor and man, he will be missed R.I.P.
