Angeline Brooks Obituary
Angeline Brooks, 83, of New Rochelle, NY passed away peacefully on February 18, 2016. Angeline was the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Bucci, and the beloved wife for 51 years of the late Bernard Brooks. She is survived by her four daughters, Susan Brooks O'Rourke, Lori and husband Sean O'Rourke, Ellen and husband Thomas Kelly, and Donna and husband Donald Ruzzi. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Angeline is survived by her sister Josephine O'Shea of Pomona, NY and is predeceased by her sister Marie DiGirolamo.
Angeline earned her BS, summa cum laude, from Iona College in 1996. She worked for the NY Botanical Garden followed by the Congregation of Christian Brothers where she served as the executive assistant to the Provincial for 27 years. Angeline was an Associate of Blessed Edmund Rice, and led a life dedicated to prayer and charitable and educational works. She taught religious education for ten years at Sts. John and Paul in Larchmont, and volunteered for Hope Community Services.
Angeline loved travel and especially enjoyed being at the beach with her family. She was adored as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Friends may call at the Graham Funeral Home, Rye on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 22 at 10:00 AM at Sts. John and Paul Church, Larchmont, NY. Flowers or memorial contributions to Memorial Sloan Kettering at giving.mskcc.org.
