Claire Christensen
Claire Christensen, 82, of Charlotte NC passed away at Mecklenberg Health Care Ctr on Sunday, October 10, 2010.
She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Claire spent 39 years in Lompoc, CA., raising her family and volunteering at the Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed homemaking, playing Bingo and was an Avon lady for ten years.
She was born on May 15, 1928 in Kennecott, Alaska to Oscar G. Olson and Aileene T. Olson.
Mrs. Christensen was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Harold J. Christensen.
Survivors include her son Charles and his wife Barbara of Brookdale, Ca., son Maurice and wife Katt of Lake Isabella CA., daughters Aileene and husband Kim Hammar of Charlotte NC, Dorothy and husband Tom Finch of San Jose CA., Kathy Christensen of Denver NC, and grandchildren, Krista, Tanya, and Tami Hammar of Charlotte NC, and Sara and Jacob Christensen of California.
A private celebration of life gathering will be held at the residence of Kim and Aileene Hammar.
Arrangements for the family are being made by Fort Mill Funeral Home of SC. Condolences may be left for the family at www.fortmillfuneralhome.com
