Josephine Sausedo Obituary
Josephine "Mama Fina" Sausedo, 86, of Soledad, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 30, 2010. She was born January 7, 1924 in El Paso, Texas. Josephine was a resident and homemaker of Soledad since 1964 and a former resident of Lompoc.
She was a member of Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Church where she was very active for many years. She loved gardening and had a passion for crocheting, baking, and spending time with her family. Josephine had a beautiful singing voice.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Sausedo.
Josephine is survived by her five children; Rose Mary Flores of Lompoc, Joe Gonzales of Lompoc, Christina (Marty) McClendon of Hawaii, Rachel (Randy) Lent of Soledad, and Gregory (Delilah) Sausedo of Salinas; and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 7, 2010 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St., Salinas, CA 93901.
Vigil will be held Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Church, 235 Main St., Soledad, CA 93960.
Funeral Mass will take place Monday, November 8, 2010 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Soledad District Cemetery, 1711 Metz Rd., Soledad, CA 93960.

For those of us that had the pleasure of Josie(my 2nd mom)in our lifes had truly been blessed with her special blend of sweetness and kindness. I will miss her, yet I know in my heart I will see her once again. Love never dies. Never.
