Mark Jones Obituary
Mark E. Jones, 56 of Santa Maria, CA, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 in Santa Maria.
Mark was born October 8, 1954 in San Diego, CA to Dorman and Naomi Jones. He was raised and educated in Lompoc, CA and graduated from Lompoc High School. He attended Allan Hancock College for 2 years and then went on to Cal Poly where he received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering.
Mark was employed with Martin-Marietta for 14 years as an engineer with part of that time spent at Cape Canaveral, FL working on the space shuttle program. He later worked for Core-Mark International until his passing.
Mark is surviverd by his wife of 20 years Nancy Jones of Santa Maria, step-son Andrew Michael Brown of North Carolina, daughter Abigail Elizabeth Featherbay of North Carolina, daughter Alina Kay Young of Casper, WY, daughter Stevie Dubois of Garden Grove, CA and son Patrick William Moore of Santa Maria, CA.
Memorial services will be held Friday, October 29, 2010 at 2 pm at the Casa Grande Clubhouse, 519 W. Taylor Santa Maria. Cremation was requested with private inurnment.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Mark E. Jones at any Coast Hills Federal Credit Union.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary, Crematory and Memory Gardens.
