Matt was always a kind soul with mischievous smile. I often caught myself wondering what he was thinking about. He was a highly intelligent individual that I hung out with for several years in high school and college. I know he will be severely missed for several years to come and I won't even pretend to relate to his family's loss. In time like these I find it best to try and remember the good times. For Matt was almost always smiling.

Matt was my coworker at the Courier Journal. Right out of the box, he established himself as one of the better sales representatives in our office. As a fellow Trinity graduate, we joked that we had each others backs in an office full of St. X grads. He was a nice guy, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to get to know him some. "Millionaires Row" is going to miss you buddy.

If I may be so presumptuous as to speak for Matt's fellow editorial cartoonists, let me express our profound sympathies to his family. Matt was one of us, a cartoonist. He came, with his uncle, Chip Bok, to a couple of our memorable conventions, and in our close-knit community, that made him one of the tribe. We will miss him, and keep his family in our collective thoughts.
