Doris Franks Obituary
She was a teacher to the Navaho Indians and a substitute teacher in the old Louisville Public School System. She was a former member of The Jewish Community Center and of The Temple.
She is survived by her daughters, Ernestine Franks Meyer and Toby Ross; her son, Terry Franks; as well as 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Herman Meyer & Son, 1338 Ellison Ave., with visitation at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at The Temple Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

The pool has lost so many treasures and Ms. Doris is one of those treasures. She came faithfully inspiring those around her and she loved her ice cream afterwards. I won't say good-bye, but see you later Ms. Doris. My sympathies to her family. Susan Mahoney Front Desk

Goodbye Doris, it's hard to believe you are gone. You were a mainstay at the pool. We always watched for you to come through the door. We will miss you. God bless the family you leave behind.

The Franks Family, I will miss your Mother. She was a great example of living life to the fullest. We always looked forward to the times she came to class. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
