Betty Anderson Obituary

Anderson, Betty Bob,

passed away in her sleep on the 21st of December 2016. She was a beautiful, passionate, loving woman who lived 95 years and influenced everyone with whom she came in contact; everybody loved Betty Bob.

Betty Bob was born in Louisville, Kentucky and made friends every place she lived; Kentucky, Illinois, and Texas. Everywhere she lived she was tightly connected to her growing family, and they to her.

Laughter filled Betty Bob and all who surrounded her; she warmed everyone's hearts and souls. Especially Dr. Samuel Anderson with whom she spent sixty-six years of marriage. Dr. Anderson passed away in 2009, and with his passing went a piece of that laughter. She held on to her family tightly and they held back.

She is survived by her sister, her three children, eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Goodnight sweet princess. And my flights of angles sing thee to thy rest.

Betty and Sam were a great couple as well as great individuals.
I am blessed to have known them both.
Betty was one who could most always see the bright side of things or at least offer encouragement: "well, things will come together". I am so sad to know she has died but know she lived a long, rich, fufilling life.
Betty's and Sam's sense of humor, kindness, self sufficiency and more was way beyond the pale.
They leave a big hole with their absense.
Blessings to all the family they love still. Love does not vanish, it lingers on in our hearts.

Our family first knew Betty Bob when she was living with her crew of tall redheads and dog Airbow in Crescent Hill. She and her lively crew were an exciting diversion in our earnest Baptist lives. Her husband Sam had a dry wit that kept us giggling. I have pictures of Betty Bob's children, my sister and I on the first day of school at George Rogers Clark Elementary School (since closed) on Galt Avenue, the Anderson children standing a head taller than the rest of us. We will miss this lovely lady.
