Turner, John M.,

78, of Austin, IN, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, IN.

Born June 6, 1937 in Breathitt County, KY, he was the son of the late Monroe Turner and Jalia (Combs) Turner. John owned John's Coins and Jewelry Store in Austin, Indiana. He was retired from Cummins Engine in Columbus, Indiana, a member of Austin Christian Church, and a member of the American Numismatic Association.

John was a man that loved God, his church, and family.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Reva J. (Watts) Turner, Austin, IN; daughters, Bonnie (Russ) Comer, Scottsburg, IN and Sheila (Matt) Carter, Austin, IN; brothers, Woodrow (Phyllis) Turner, Paris Crossing, IN, Rob (Paula) Turner, Clarksville, IN, and G.V. Turner, Austin, IN; sisters, Aggie (Elmer) Couch, Austin, IN, Clara Sandlin, Austin, IN, and Martha Lou Turner, Austin, IN; five grandchildren, Evan (Kasey) Comer, Adam Comer, Case Carter, Kaylin Carter, and Kenzie Carter.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Austin Christian Church in Austin, IN, with Rev. Dave Huey, Rev. Don Watts, Andy Watts, and Pat Watts officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday at Austin Christian Church. Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Austin, IN.

Memorial contributions can be made to Austin Christian Preschool or Austin Christian Youth Fund.

Mrs. Turner, Larry and I are so sad to hear of John's passing. We started coin collecting a few years back and he was so very helpful with us. He will be missed by many. May God hold you in His arms to comfort you during this time. Sincerely, Larry and Gayle Lisman
