Michael Morrisey Obituary
He was retired from General Electric with over 27 years of service, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mike was the proverbial sports fan! He was an avid U of K fan, and loved his Wildcats, a golfer in the Fultone Golf Club, and a bowler. Mike was a easy going, gentle man, one who would lend a hand to anyone in need. He was the guy who would help you pick up the pieces to get back on your feet.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Virginia and Charles Morrisey; sister, Charlene (Bobby) Cottier and a nephew, Matt Morrisey.
Left cherishing his memory is his loving wife of 17 years, Gerry Moody Morrisey; beloved daughter, Kristina Cooper and grandson, Jacob Cooper; sister, Debbie (Barry) Snawder, Kathy (Armando) Martinez; brother, Stewart Morrisey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
