Vincent Heldman Obituary
He was a native of Jasper, IN and an Army veteran. Bud was employed by Marcus Paint Co. for 30 years retiring in 1993. He then worked for his brother at Heldman Brokerage Co. and part time for the past five years at Sara Lee Bakery Group. He also covered Clarksville High School sports for the Louisville Times in the 1960s.
Bud was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville, National Association of Basketball Coaches, U. S. Basketball Writers Association, and attended the NCAA Final Four for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Clara Heldman; stepfather, C.R. Thomas; and sister, Lois Endris.
Survivors include wife of 58 years, Ruth Heldman; sons, Stephen Heldman (Cheryl), Greg Heldman and Brian Heldman, all of Clarksville; sister, Sandra Sims (Pete), Corydon, IN; brother, Jack Heldman (Mary Sue) Nashville; and grandsons, Trevor and Carson Heldman, Clarksville.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN. His funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

We are so sorry for the loss of Bud. We have been friends for years and Bud will be dearly missed. Bud was always smiling and loved being around and talking to people. May he rest in peace.

Greg and Family. Anna and I are sorry to here about the loss of your dad. Your entire family is such a large part of my memory & life. I can remember the day the basketball goal went up and how I knew spring was around the corner when I saw the pole vault pit and the golf balls flying!
