Elizabeth and family,
While I did not know Marc, he was obviously a man of great faith who lived his life in the service of others. He had a wonderful wife and family that he most certainly adored. And while he was taken far too early, he lead a very full and fruitful life. May God grant all of you peace and healing during this difficult time.

So sad to see this. He married my second husband and me in '03 and sadly, buried my new husband in '04. Our brief encounter was so special. I know he will be missed.

We will miss Marc and ache for you. He was a unique person and every conversion was truly out of the ordinary and most often, a learning experience. Rick will miss a friend to drink strange beers with and I'll miss watching him happily and obliviously ignore the big game. He enjoyed life and lived well and you must have great memories of your "honeymoon" weekends. You will be in our hearts and prayers.

Elizabeth, we've never met; Marc, however is another story. His interest in ecumenical ministry began at Christian Church Uniting in Va. Beach. I was his pastor. I accompanied him to Lancaster Seminary to begin his ministerial journey. His ordination took place in our church upon his graduation. I hold close to my heart his gift to me at that time: a Celtic Cross and Chain. His far reaching journey for Christ's Kingdom was a marvel in itself;unfinished for Marc, and for all who knew him. The next chapter of his life is in our hands. Peace and Grace be with you. Forest Wels, Va. Beach.

Marc was a good friend. I was Blessed to share time on the Current River with him and have good chats with him from time to time. He Loved Shannondale and cared for our forest. May God Bless his family in this time. Thank you Marc for your Friendship!! See you again someday.

Words can't capture how deeply saddened I am for you and your family Elizabeth and how deeply I pray for comfort for you all. Marc was such a remarkable man, and I feel lucky to have known him back when we were all at Brooklawn together. He'll be sorely missed, but also fondly remembered by so many people.

I only knew Marc for a brief time. I loved hearing him talk about space and his experiences at Luther Luckett. He was a one-of-a-kind UCC guy. My sympathies go out to his family, the friends and colleagues we shared across the Kentuckiana Association, and to the South Dakota Conference who never had a chance to say hello.

Marc was a friend and colleague of mine. A special memory for me will always be him hosting us at Luther Luckett when he was chaplain. His ministry there was powerful, and he opened my eyes to ministry within prison walls. I will always be grateful for his ministry and friendship. May Christ's peace surround and uphold you in these days of grief.

Elizabeth, I worked with Marc on the DOC church at Luther Luckett in my capacity as board chair. Marc had both a heart for the ministry there and also the wit to navigate the politics to accomplish the goal of bringing community on Christ to the inmates. Our hearts break for your loss. My husband and I are members of the S.D. Conference U.C.C. and had dinner with Marc in Long Beach, CA during the UCC General Synod meeting earlier this month. Even though we knew him briefly it was a wonderful connection. We along with the churches and members of the S.D. Conference grieve the loss of his spirit for ministry that was evident immediately and looked forward to. Our hearts and souls are with Elizabeth and Marc's family in this time of loss.
