Robert Garms Obituary

GARMS, ROBERT, 62, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Jewish Hospital. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, a retired senior right of way agent for the KY Dept. of Transportation, a member of American Legion Post #201 and a member of St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his sister Donna Jean Connor. He is survived by his wife, the former Vanessea Woodcock; son, Nicholas Robert Garms; daughter, Catherine R. Wakeley (Adam); brothers, Fred Garms (Ginger) and Bill Garms (Carol); sisters, Betty Jo Murphy (Mike), Mary Lou Lewis (Russell), Ann Marie Harper and Carolyn Reker and brother-in-law Jim Connor. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at Highlands. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

I went to grade school with Bobby St George. He was my best friend and I never forgot him. My mom told me tonight that she tought it was Bobby. I prayed that he was another one. I would have been at the sevices if only I had known.I wish there were words to comfort you I am so sorry.
