I knew Gary 14 years ago in Knoxville working for BellSouth and worked with him again in Afghanistan 2010 - Gary was a great guy and always had a smile on his face. May he rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus... God please bless his family.

I was so very sorry to hear about Gary. I worked with Gary at BellSouth (& AT&T) in Paducah. He was a wonderful person. And, we all knew how very much he loved his family and sons. My prayers have been with you.

I served with Gary with the 205th Combat Communications Squadron. I was with him when he deployed on his first exercise and several missions after his initial experience. I was also on the Haiti mission and we all agree, it wasn't the tropical vacation about which you normally dream! He was an extremely hard worker and his smile and laughter always lit up any area he was in. He will be sorely missed and my sympathy goes out to his family and friends. R.I.P. Gary and don't jump into any convertibles in heaven!

Smooth-
That's what we called Gary back in high school. Sad to say that I went too long, 6 or 7 years, without seeing his goofy laugh. Then I saw him and Milinda at Johnson's wedding a while back and it was like we had just gone to a field party we were laughing and cuttin up. Gary always put everyone at ease. That's why he was Smooth.

My sympathy to the family of Gary. I worked in the 205th CBCS (Air Guard) with Gary and he was one of the nicest people you could hope to meet in life.

I had the Honor to serve with Gary in Haiti and many other missions. He was always eager to learn and eat. His ability to bring a smile to others and to look at situations on a lighter side were a gift he gave freely. He will be greatly missed by those he has served with and developed that special bond that is created by eating, sleeping, and working together on a 24/7 basis.

May God wrap his loving arms around those who love you Gary; and, bring them comfort during the days ahead. Let them feel your loving presence dear Lord and bring to them a peace that surpasses all understanding. We love you Gary and I use the present, (Love) instead of (Loved) because we always will. Your beautiful smile will always be remembered. In Christian Love, Charlene Comer (Dougs Wife)

Thoughts and prayers to the O'Daniel family on your loss. Gary recently joined our office in Louisville and everyone quickly took to him and his infectious laugh and wit. Although only here a short time, he made an impression on all of his new co-workers and will be missed. May God give you all peace at this time and give you strength to move forward.

Millinda, Wilson and Finn - my sweet neighbors from Flaget St:
Please know that we are thinking of you and sending loving thoughts your way. Gary was a wonderful guy - I love remembering him with the boys playing in the back yard - the boys making little snowmen and looking for bugs and snakes.
