Delbert Ashcraft Obituary

ASHCRAFT, DELBERT 81, of Middletown passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010 at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was a longtime member of Eastwood Fire Department and a member of Long Run Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lillie; his children, Christine Ambs (Steve), Danny Ashcraft (Karen), Patsy Ashcraft, David Ashcraft (Jenny) and Harley Hall (Nancy); grandchildren, Melissa Velasco (Tony) and Darren Ambs (Amanda), Susan Stephens (Paul), Travis Ashcraft (Danielle), Wesley Hurt, Kayla Ashcraft and Allen Barnes; five great-grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Mildred Walker.

Funeral ceremony will be 11 a.m. Thursday, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Dr., with burial in Eastwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hosparus.

I'd like to express my deepest condolences to the entire Ashcraft family. Delbert was always kind to me and never failed to make me feel welcome in his home. I'm sure he will be deeply missed.
