Howard Fromme Obituary

NEW ALBANY - Fromme, Howard E., 84, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home in New Albany.

He was born June 10, 1929 in Dubois County, IN to his late parents, Joseph and Lilly (Tabor) Fromme. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from American Commercial Barge Lines.

Howard was preceded in death by his son, Russell Fromme; his daughter, Roseanna Fromme; and his sisters, Joan Myers, Rose Litch, and Jane Bond.

Survivors include: children, Joseph Fromme, Rebecca Fromme, and Michael Fromme; step-daughter, Linda Poindexter; step-son, Larry Stansberry; brother, Robert Fromme Sr. (Elaine), John Fromme (Delores), and Jerry Fromme (Merrill); sister, Betty Miner; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN. His Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, IN.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.

May u rest in peace grandpa Howard UNTIL WE MEET Again in my journey to see our father. I know I didn't get much. Time but the time that I did get I will always remember how up beet you are you're spunkiness I couldn't. Believe u still where doing jumping jacks. IM GLAD THAT your blood runs though my vains. Tell dad Hi for me until we meet again.God bless the rest of the family in this time of loss . Love Betty
