Bobby Hazen Obituary
81 passed away peacefully at his home.
Bobby lived a life of service to others. He served proudly in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member in good standing of American Legion Post 180, VVA, 40 / 8, AFSA 482 and DAV Chapter 89, where he served as Commander 2006-2014.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Carol Hazen; children, Dr. Ray Hazen (Suzan); Bobby D. Hazen (Terry), Anita LeVan (Jim),Gloria Gill (Robb), Julie Mattingly (Paul); sisters, Della Pierce (G.W.) and Doris Ratzlaff (Roy); brothers, Ed Hazen (Judy) and Elvin Hazen (Lynda), many grandchildren and great-grandchildren - the newest Connor Allen (Jenny and David Quinn)
A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2015 at Valley of Rest Cemetery in LaGrange, KY. Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village has been entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of customary expressions, donations may be given to DAV Chapter 89, 3505 Middle Rd. Jeffersonville, IN 47130.

Carol, I am so sorry to hear about Bobby. My heart breaks for you and your family. Have known Bobby for many years, as we volunteered with many of the same organizations. He was certainly a true Patriot, loved his Country, and helping others. We will all miss him. RIP Bobby.

It is sad that I read about our "Bobby". He was fun, had an opinion on most any issue, and greatly helped me when I was the Mayor of this little City. He served as a Commissioner for me and many others. Many students at Ballard High School gained great guidance from him. He will be missed.
