Combest, Jerry T. Jr.,

Mr. Jerry T.Combest Jr. age 52, of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on February 9, 2017 at Norton Audubon Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was an Air Force Veteran also Naval Reserve, Mason, Grand Lodge of KY. and Kentucky Colonel. Among those who preceded him in death include his father, Jerry Combest Sr. and step-father, Larry VanMeter. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Lucy Schlette-Combest; son, Zachery Combest; mother, Betty VanMeter; sister, Rhonda Reid; dog, Max; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation was chosen. Hardy-Close Funeral Home (285 S. Buckman St) is in charge of the arrangements. www.hardyclosefuneralhome.com
