Michael Hurtgen Obituary
Michael Hurtgen, 66, passed away Friday April 14, 2017 in his home. He was born in 1950 to Archibald Hurtgen and Oda Hurtgen. He was preceded in death by his father Archibald Hurtgen and his older brother David Hurtgen.
"Mike" was described by family and friends as a hard worker he was a Vietnam Veteran in the USMC, Teamster Local 89, he was a Mason of the Aurora Lodge, and was only two weeks into retirement from the Ford Motor Company.
As hard as Mike worked, he also loved to have a good time. He loved riding his Harley Davidson; he always had a good story about getting in and out of trouble. He also loved his family and was survived by two daughters Nancy Hurtgen and Cynthia Hurtgen and son Michael D. Hurtgen, as well as nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Thursday April 20, 2017 at 12:00 pm at the advantage Funeral Home Hardy Chapel; 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272 with cremation to follow. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday April 19, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
