NASHUA, NH -- Gloma Jean (Brackett) Cribbis, 85, of Nashua, died peacefully at Kindred Healthcare (Greenbriar) in Nashua on May 5, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on July 10, 1929 in Springvale, ME, a daughter of the late Carl and Doris (Cole) Brackett.

Mrs. Cribbis was the widow of the Rev. Ross R. Cribbis, who died in 1999.

She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was very committed to her service to her family and to her church.

Mrs. Cribbis was educated in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Eastern Nazarene College in 1952 and worked as an early education teacher, and she participated in the pilot program for Head Start in Peabody, MA.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Ruth Cribbis, a son-in-law, Douglas Wall, a brother, Robert Brackett and a sister, Patricia Boisvert. She is survived by her sister, Joyce Paris and her husband Julius of Florida, her sister-in-law, Marcia Johnson and her husband Francis of Massachusetts, and her daughters: Linda and her husband, Dr. William Laughlin of Nashua, Deborah Cribbis of Ontario, Rebecca Herberg and her husband James of Colorado; and her grandchildren, Cara Appel, DeAnndra Wall, Tiffany Hally, Jeremiah Larnerd and Lindsay Laughlin; step-grandchildren Will and Jon Laughlin; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Greenbriar and their families for their care and many kindnesses to Gloma.

CRIBBIS -- Mrs. Cribbis will be interred with her husband in Zion Cemetery in Ontario privately at the convenience of the family.
