In reading of him and his courageous actions so many years ago, here seems a true American hero!

I met Roger briefly as we were awaiting our turns to testify in a product liability case in Kansas City in the early 1990s. The lawyers left us alone, seated across from each other at huge a conference table designed for about 40 people. We introduced ourselves and for the next hour or so I was engaged in the most interesting conversation of my lifetime. Afterwards, Roger gave me his card which I treasure to this day. He was a great, honest man; and the kind of person the world needs in every corner. RIP Roger.

To Roger's family: I remember Roger and his humble, hardworking, religous family when they moved to Hazel Street in Lowell. Roger was a smart gentle soul who loved school and tennis. I remember my late mother calling me to say that Roger was the ONE descending voice regarding the "O Rings" debacle on the Challanger disaster. I remember reading about the professional and personal price he paid for his ethics. I admired him for taking a stand at such a great personal cost. The world needs more people like Roger. A truly good man is gone forever but not forgotten. RIP

I am rather devastated to hear of Roger's passing. We were friends in College, and although I have not seen him since, we corresponded and I was very proud of him.
