Born in Lowell on Oct. 2, 1948, he was a son of the late Louis Arsene and Irene Christine (Sylvester) Glaude.
Mr. Glaude served as an Airman First Class with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and distinguished himself by meritorious service as a Crew Bus Operator, Vehicle Operations, 635th Transportation Squadron, 635th Combat Support Group, at U-Tapao Airfield, Thailand from June 12, 1970 until June 10, 1971.
During this time, his skill, technical knowledge and initiative were important factors in the mission effectiveness of this organization in providing direct support of B-52 and KC-135 combat missions.
Mr. Glaude received the Air Force Commendation Medal on Sept. 16, 1971.
He was currently employed as a mechanic for Lanier's Auto Repair Service of Dracut.
Mr. Glaude was a member of the Road Runners and Black Knights Antique Car Clubs of Lowell.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Michelle Morrison and her husband, Jim of Littleton, Marie Machado and her husband, Thomas of Londonderry, N.H., Irene Stone and her husband, James of Nashua, N.H. and April Glaude of Lowell; eight grandchildren, Rachel, Brian and Sera Morrison of Littleton, Franchesca Machado of Londonderry, N.H., Kelsey, Gillian and Stephen Stone of Nashua, N.H. and Roland Joseph Glaude of Lowell.
He also leaves three brothers and a sister-in-law, Albert Glaude of New Hampshire, Raymond Glaude and his wife, Linda of Dracut, and Richard Glaude of Lowell; a sister, Pauline Glaude of Lowell; also several nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Leo Glaude.
