Francis Cluff Obituary

Francis A. Cluff
1938 -- 2011

LOWELL -- Francis A. Cluff, 73, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at Saints Medical Center. He was the loving and devoted husband to Maureen A. (Gilbert) Cluff of Lowell.

Born in Lowell on July 2, 1938, he was a son of the late Henry and Cecile (Mailhot) Cluff. "Sonny" was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean War.

He was a graduate of Lowell Trade School.

For 45 years, Frank worked in Boston for the Plumbers Union Local 12.

He was a lifelong member of the Lowell Elks, was an avid bowler and a devoted communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church.

Frank's family would like to express a special thank you to George and Joan McGuire for the extra wonderful years of life which he enjoyed because of the generous gift of their son, Kevin McGuire's kidney to Frank 21 years ago. Thank you always, Kevin McGuire, with love from all of us.

He was a great and loving father to his children, James Cluff, Dale Cluff and his wife, Jennifer, Ian Cluff and his wife, Nicole and also Kathleen Cluff; a very loving grandfather of six, who loved him very much, Alycia and Alyson Cluff, Abigail and Lillian Cluff, Emma and Isabel Cluff; beloved brother to Henry Cluff and his wife, Janet, Tom Cluff and his wife, Nancy, Beverly Landry, Midge Landry and her husband, Roger; many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Cyl Perron.

Maureen and Family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Frank was one of the best people in the world. He was always there to help out anyone who asked, it didn't matter if it was the middle of the night all it took was a phone call and he was there for you. I am so happy that I had some time with him 2 weeks ago just talking and laughing. He was one of God's greatest gifts. may you all find peace and comfort knowing he is now in the loving hands of God. Rest in Peace my friend til we meet again..
All My love,
Brenda Crowley
