I'm sorry to hear about Leo. Leo would be my great uncle. I am Paul Mullin's (Leo's brother) grandson. I met Leo in the mid 90's at my grandparents house. I do remember chatting it up with him about golf while grilling out steaks that evening. He was a lot of fun getting to know. In reading his obituary and I remember him talking about playing against Arnold Palmer in college it is easy to see where all of the Mullin's love affair with golf comes from cause my grandpa Paul loved the game also. My dad, Mike, brother Jeff and I are still proudly carrying on the Mullin family golf tradition. Again sorry to hear about Leo. Billy Mullin

Patti, I am so sorry to hear of Leo's passing. I have certainly enjoyed working with you both for so many years. A call with him always put a smile on my face as it was usually 3 minutes of business and another 20 of just swapping stories. My heart goes out to you and your family. Carrie Butler (ISI Funds, NYC)

in the short time i knew my grandfather leo i had admired him and learned from every word he said with his thunderous voice and some of the last words he said to me was that every day if i went my way to help someone or become their friend, by the time a week or month had passed that i will have made many strong relationships. and so far HE WAS RIGHT
and though we will have lost him in this world we will always be able to see him in the next. as one of his many friends said "hes teaching god how to golf" and i beleive that to be true not only teaching god how to golf but also while whistling battle hymn of the republic. and to all who read this isay that we will always see him again but until then we must try to make him proud while he watches over us, waiting to see us again. also we must not let this loss hider our spirits. that is the lat thing he would want, no i say that we should remember him as he was, not as he is now and try to follow his words of wisdom. grandpa leo knew there was no such thing as perfect but as a person, he was pretty damn close. gronpaleo you will be misssed but never forgotten

I met Leo and Patti probably 30 years ago. While I saw him only a couple of times a year, he would give a big hug. It was always good to hear his stories. He was genuine. Jeff LawsonLawsondd

I have known Leo for 70 years, starting as a boy caddying at The Country Club in Brookline. Leo was the most engaging and charismatic person I have ever known. Leo was special. There are givers and takers. Leo was certainly a giver.I can remember many experiences with Leo, but one that stands out happened when we were in college.I was playing house hockey at Harvard and Leo was managing the BU hockey team. Some one had stolen my skates. I called Leo,and he told me to stop worrying and just be at his house the next day at 7 pm.When he opened the door, he handed me a pair of skates, one size too big, but I was so happy,I just hugged him. Many great experiences with Leo evolved over the last 70 years. I shall miss him dearly as he was a great part of my life.

Leo,
I have had the pleasure of being part of your family for the last ten years. I always enjoyed the many stories you had for me, and the many quick jokes you told me.
I enjoyed knowing a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
Most people do not get blessed to meet a man like you, but I bet you a dollar that the people you have met in your lifetime are just that. Truly blessed.
Rest in peace sir . You will be truly missed.

I will always remember Leo's big smile, and how he would shake my hand with his firm grip, hold onto it so he could pull me in for a big hug and say "How the hell are ya, gal?"

R.I.P Uncle Leo Mullin. From Manomet to Runamuck you were always the brightest light, the softest - but most important - voice and the funniest damn guy any of us ever knew! You were a presence on this world and one that will be missed by a lot of people! So here is an Irish blessing for one great Irishman:
"May you fly straight to heaven,
But if you go to Hades,
May Lethe run with Guinness! "
Cheers Uncle Leo!

I had the pleasure of meeting Leo a number of years ago through my brother John. We enjoyed a wonderful day of hospitality, fun and laughs on the golf course. I am grateful for Leo hooking me up with his favorite book in the world: "The Greatest Game Ever Played". We shared the special experience of being former caddies at TCC, Brookline. Golf in heaven has just become more fun as a result of Leo's arrival.
Blessings to Patti and Family.

We were so surprised and sorry to learn of Leo's passing. There are never the right words to express how deeply saddened we are that you have to endure your loss.
Friends like Leo are few in life and it is with a heavy heart that we also grieve with your loss. His friendship meant the world to us, and we couldn't have asked for a more genuine friend than Leo. Memories of our times together, regardless of where we were or what we were doing, will be forever held dear.
Leo will be truly missed by everyone who knew him no matter where they crossed his path in life. May your memories bring you comfort in the days ahead.
Golf will not be the same without him, but we're sure that he will now have his choice of golf courses to enjoy.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
