Edith Kennedy Obituary

Edith "Jo" Kennedy (Wildman) Lansing Jo passed away December 16, 2010 at the age of 67. Jo was born in Welch, West Virginia on March 31, 1943. She spent her childhood in West Virginia, and her adult years in Lansing. She worked for AutoAir Enterprises and retired in the early 90's. Jo met life with a big kind heart, and loved kids and dogs. She fought cancer fiercely three times. And this time it was simply stronger then she was. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert Kennedy and Audrey Mullen; sister, Karen in 2001; great-grandson, David. Jo leaves behind her daughter, Kandi of Lansing; grandson, David of Lansing; granddaughter, Audrey of New York. She helped raises her niece, Starla, who called her Aunt Momma. Jo is also survived by a step-brother, Bob of Lansing; and two half sisters, Belle of Virginia, Pat of North Carolina and numerous nieces, nephews and 2 great grandchildren and very special friends, Karen and Reca. She touched many lives and none will be the same without her. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 20, at 3:00 p.m, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, Michigan. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the chapel. Contribution may be made to the family c/o Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. I will miss her a great deal. We spent hours of playing card and going to Bingo. We shared a lot of life together Helped each other in good times and bad. Rest in Peace... I am glad she is not suffering any more but she will take part of me with her. Love you
