Glenn Fincham Obituary

Glenn E. Fincham Olivet Glenn E. Fincham, 91, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Mr. Fincham was born April 24, 1919 in Mabie, WV the son of Alva and Virginia (Waldron) Fincham. Mr. Fincham was a baker, coal miner, worked at the Atomic Energy Plant in Ohio, was a mechanic for Nelson Chemical then retired as a millwright from Detroit Diesel. He served in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Spica. Mr. Fincham was a devout Christian and faithful member of the Victory Baptist Church in South Boardman, MI. He is survived by his son, Glenval (Judy) Fincham and daughter, Mary Alice (Bob) VaVerka; grandchildren, Susan (Pat) Authement, Ann (Dan) Roiter; 2 great-grandchildren, Devin and Amanda; sister, Juanita Vargo; half-sister, Nataline Jacobson and half-brother, Alva "Gene" Fincham. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Fincham; sister, Geneva Ankrom and half-sister, Nancy Vargo. Graveside services were 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010 at South Boardman Cemetery, South Boardman, MI with Pastor McQueen of Victory Baptist Church officiating. Visitation was Friday, October 15, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice or the Victory Baptist Church, South Boardman, MI. Online condolences may be made at www.prayfuneral.com.
