Floyd Black Lansing Age 84, was born May 20, 1926 in Brookhaven, MS to William and Sara Beard Black and passed away December 22, 2010. He retired from Lansing Fisher Body Division, General Motors, after 31 years of service. He attended Lansing Church of God in Christ. He was preceded in death by: his son, Sheridell; grandson, Sheridell LaMonte; parents; brothers, James, Willie, J.C., Luticia; sister, Alberta. Survivors include: his wife of 64 years, Gladys Black; daughter, Galelene Black Conyers; son, Charles E. Black of Los Angles, CA; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, K.C. (Norma), Matthew (Christine), Jay (Bertha), Robert (Mary); sisters, Annie Bell (Willie) Campbell and Lucille (Rev. Andrew) Chambliss of Union Spring, AL. Friends may visit Mr. Black Wednesday, December 29, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., at the Riley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, 12:00, at Lansing Church of God in Christ, 5304 Wise Road. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service.
