Arthur Midgley Obituary

Arthur W. Midgley Lansing Mr. Midgley age 93, passed away April 7. 2010 at his home. He was born August 8, 1916 at Vandercook Lake, MI, the son of John and Amelia (Weisman) Midgley. He was a general foreman for General Motors, retiring after 41 years of service. Arthur was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Navy. He was a life member of the Horton Masonic Lodge #292 and was a dual member of the Wacousta Masonic Lodge #359 F. & A.M. He was a 32 degree Mason; Deputy District Instructor for the Grand Lodge of Michigan and he became a life member of the Scottish Rite Shriners in 1986. Survivors include, brother John (Bud), wife (Beverly) Midgley of Sevierville, Tenn.; sister, Mildred Fowler of Jonesville, Mich.; brother-in-law and wife Robert (Marie) Crosswaite of Morrice, Mich and several nieces and nephews. Inurnment with military and masonic memorial services will take place at the Horton Cemetery, Hanover Twp., at a later date. For those desiring contributions to the Masonic Home Endowment Fund, Alma, MI would be greatly appreciated. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caregivers of the Whole Health Home care staff, Sherry, Jeanette and Pansy for their love and kindness. Arrangements were entrusted to the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge Michigan.
