Beatrice Burris Obituary

Beatrice B. Burris Holt Age 89 passed away, May 22, 2010. She was born June 9, 1920 in Lockport Twp., IL to George and Ida Baxter. Beatrice lived most of her life in Lockport, IL . She was a writer, an artist and an avid reader. Beatrice is survived by her children: George (Carolyn) Burris, Darryl (Mary) Burris and Judith (James) Caron; grandchildren: Dionne (Christopher) Mumby, Martin (Heather) Burris, Lindsay Burris & Kris Fry and Kevin (Lisa) Burris and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Alvis W. Burris in 2008; her parents; two sisters and one brother. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Woodlawn Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St., Joliet IL 60431. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Ingham County Medical Care Facility Foundation, 3860 Dobie Rd., Okemos, MI 48864. Local arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel
