Beatrice Long Obituary

Beatrice C. Long Eaton Rapids Age 89 died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Dimondale Nursing Center. Born July 17, 1921 in Eaton Rapids, the daughter of David and Ethel (Zentmyer) Peck. Bea was a member of the First Congregational Church in Eaton Rapids and a member of the Farmer's Hall of Fame in Delton. Bea worked many jobs in her life from Horner Woolens, Eaton Stamping, Oldsmobile, Nick's Pizza, Stewarts Flower Shop and McDonalds. Proceeding her in death were her husband, George in 2005; daughter, Kathy Bennett and son, Dean Long; sister, Wynetta Learch and brother, Ivan Peck. Surviving are daughter, Patricia (Jerry) Slentz; son, Victor Long; daughter-in-law, Shug Long; son-in-law, Gary Bennett; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Richard Learch; many nieces and nephews and special niece Charlene James Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8p.m. For online condolences go to www.SkinnerFuneralHome.com.
