Oh, dear Bernice. I joined the Medical Society Alliance when we moved to Michigan from Texas 12 years ago. She was immediately kind and welcoming to me. Additionally we worked together with Mobile Meals. She was a servant to the end. Kind, loving and a joy to be around. I am blessed having known her.

When I moved to East Lansing four years ago, I noticed this sweet woman walking almost every day, no matter what the weather, pushing her walker along.
I decided I had to meet her and we started attending group meetings and luncheons at the Hannah Communtiy Center. I am grateful to Bernice for introducing me to many of her friends and giving me all the information on our neighborhood.
She was one of the sweetest people I ever met and I am so glad I was able to get to know her.
