Betty Coleman Obituary

Betty Rosaleen Coleman Stanton Age 77, formerly of St. Johns, passed away Monday, May 17. 2010 at her home, with her family and friends surrounding her. She was born July 8, 1932 in Stanton, Michigan the daughter of Corbin and Blanche (Sebring) Stratton. Betty was a lifetime resident of the area and worked for Wolverine World Wide in Ithaca and Rockford, from where she retired. She was a member of the Lansing Eagle Lodge #1309 and the American Legion Post in St. Johns. Betty enjoyed crafts, crochetting, needlepoint, camping, fishing and most especially spending time with family and friends. Betty is survived by two sons, Donald Coleman of Kempner, Texas and Marshall Coleman of Stanton, a daughter, Betty (David) Stenrose of Livonia, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a brother, Tom (Adelia) Stratton of Riverside, California and a sister, Bonnie (Myron) Tiffany of Greenville, MT. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Luke. A visitation will be held Saturday, May 22 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home in St. Johns from 4-7p.m. A celebration of life will be held at a future time at the family farm near Stanton. Memorial contributions may be made to Mid-Michigan Home Care/Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Dodge Funeral Home, Middleton.
