Burton Brown Obituary

Burton Arnold Brown Lansing PPassed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the age of 94. Born October 10, 1916 to Orie and Elizabeth (Hesford) Brown. Burton married the love of his life, Amy Brown, on Valentines Day 1938 and stayed happily married for 72 years. He was a self employed builder who built many homes in Lansing and the surrounding area. Burton was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Brown; daughter, Dixie Lee Brown; parents; 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Surviving are his daughter, Nancy Lou Schade; grandchildren, Brad Schade of Grand Rapids, Craig Schade of Lansing; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Aaron Schade of Grand Rapids; sister, Erma Bailey of Holton; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 12:00 PM from the South Church of the Nazarene 401 W. Holmes Rd. Lansing, MI. The family received friends at Chapel in the Pines Funeral Home on Monday from 6-9 PM. For those desiring, memorial gifts may be made to Nazarene Mission International c/o South Church of the Nazarene in memory of Burton.
