Carol was a great person. I would not be where I am today had I not had the opportunity to meet her and have her as an instructor. She gave me the confidence that I could do or be whatever I wanted in life by believing in my abilities. Whenever I saw Carol, she was always interested in how things were going in my life and would say to me "I know you can do it!"

To the family of Carol Harton. I will miss her dearly. We worked together for 11 years in the probation department. Christopher will remember when he and Matt went to karate classes together. I will always remember her laugh and smile.

Sherry, this is Margo(I was your flower girl in you and Ted's wedding, remember?) My mother(Janet Martinez)called me last night and told me about Carol' s passing. I don't think it's a reality to her just yet! Word is on the way to my twin, Michael(he's in the Army) My heartfelt prayers go out to you, Ted, & Larry - the whole family. CJ, your mother was truly a remarkable woman. Now that I'm grown and raising 2 daughters of my own, this is a sad reminder to me of how we think we'll always have another day to tell family how we feel about them. To me she WAS family. I'll always regret not staying in touch with her. However, I will always remember the great times as a child when we gathered at her house with friends and family for those barbecues. They were the best. May God see you through this time of sorrow.

Carol and I met almost 40 years ago and although our lives took us in different directions we remained friends. My heart is heavy with the news of her passing. I will miss her. I'm sorry I was not able to be there for her homegoing.

My Hero..I met her my first semester at Old Central Building. She became my mentor and made a path for me to enter Criminal Justice. I loved checking in on her to see what she was wearing for the day.I bend down and salute her for what I am today ! I will miss her forever.

To the family:
Carol was a colleague when I worked at LCC, and I admired her spirit, her caring, and her ability to resolve issues at work in a kind way. Her positive attitude and loving manner inspired me. She brought her whole self to the college, and she made it a better place. Plus she wore really cute shoes.

Carol was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed by any that knew her. I first met Carol about 9 years ago at Lansing Community College. She was always professional, always helpful, always friendly and always encouraging. I learned a lot from Carol's insights and her example. I developed a great respect for her and have continued to admire her. I am deeply saddened by Carol's death--no one can take her place--and I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to know her and to work with her. My sympathies and prayers to her son of whom she was very proud and to her family.

To the family and friends of Ms. Carol. We met Ms. Carol at LCC and we were in the Ballroom Dancing class together. My, my Ms. Carol could really dance, she was smooth and graceful. I thank God for allowing me to meet such a loving, caring and warm person. We love you Ms. Carol and we know you are the best Ballroom dancer in heaven. I was deeply saddened to hear about Carol's homegoing. But just know that we might have one plan but God has another.
I was so glad that we had an opportunity to spend some quality time together while I was home in May. She was a great person and will be definitely be missed by us all.
Grieve if you must but let your grief be comforted by trust. We loved her but God love her more.

My deepest sympathy goes to Carol's family. I met Carol over twenty years ago as an intern at the Ingham County Probation Office . . . Carol was a wonderful mentor. I ran into Carol several times during the past few years in Downtown Lansing and was always greeted by her beautiful smile and warm embrace . . . Carol will be truly missed!

When I think of Carol, I think of her smile. I see that smile in her son Christopher and her sister Sherry. Carol was a wonderful colleague and friend. She cared deeply about her students and it showed in her words and in her actions. She was the epitome of style, class and grace. Lansing Community College has lost another angel. Chris, it is with great sadness that I learned of your mom's passing. For many years your mom and I would sit in the suana at the YMCA and talk about you and Brandon. A group of us from work went to the same Curves in downtown Lansing that Carol Ann did. I did not know Carol personally, but I know she always had a smile and was very pleasant to everyone. We are all sorry to learn of Carol's passing.

Carol was a gem, a human being with an Angel's heart. Carol always had a smile for all, and cared deeply about students, and co-workers. Carol, you'll be fondly missed, yet we know that the good Lord will give you a place of rest in His home that no one else could provide.

I had the opportunity to work with her at the Criminal Justice Center @ LCC and also was a student of hers for several Criminal Justice classes. Carol guided me through my classes @ LCC to help my achieve my Assoc. Degree in CJ. Then when I started working under her at the CJ Center she became my mentor.
