Cathy was like a mother to me....her son and I were together for 8 years or more. Our daughter Carmilia being her grandchild was always first in her life! When all of us lived in Lansing,Mi together Cathy was there everyday in helping us w/her upbringing! There are NOT enough words to say "thank you" to a AMAZING person who has helped me daily even after relocating down to NC she would call me every week sometimes twice a week just to keep in touch & to make sure I was cooking homade food for my husband & here we are 10 years later saying our goodbyes. This has had to be one of the hardest things Carmi & I have ever had to do but, just knowing she is living in God's kingdom now and is keeping a closer eye on us will help us to continue on. I LOVE you mama/grandma Cathy you will always stay #1 in our hearts and we will see you soon!!!! Cathy was a dear sister-in-law. I will miss her greatly. She was such a kind and caring person and gave so much of herself for anyone in need. She loved her children and her grandchildren especially. She is no longer suffering and is in a better place. God needed her more. Greatest of sympathy to Don Hill and Rudy and Donnie. Love, Aunt Carol

I am so sorry to hear of Cathy's passing. She was like a second mom to me in the years she worked at Grables. We lost contact a bit in recent years but I spoke with her about 3 months ago and she never spoke a word about having failing health. Thats the type of person Cathy was though she loved life , her children , husband, and friends but especially her grandchildren. She rarely complained of things that were going bad for her. I and called her to let her know that my husband had passed away and that Emmalee and I were pretty much on our on. She cared so much for everyone. I loved her so..I will truly miss her. She was a great woman and I will never forget her. Go in peace Cathy and I love you!
