Bob,
I can still see your dad and my dad in the back room at Roger Stuart drinking coffee with Mr. Reid smoking his cigar and he had his handle bar moustache! Those were the good old days!!! Your dad was a class act.

To the Family of Clay Marshall Reid:

I am sadded to read about the death of Mr. Reid. I've known Mr. Reid for over 40 years as he has dressed my father-inlaw, myself and my sons from his various stores. He will not only be missed by you, but also by his valuable customers as myself. I will truly miss his friendly manner, and his genuine smile. May God be with you and him at this time.

Thank you again Mr. Reid

Sincerly John Lockhart.

To the Entire Reid Family - Our Blessings are with you during this difficult time of mourning and making arrangements. Keep your memories close. I will forever remember your fathers laugh...often times mixed in with my Dads > ..."When you are sorrowful look agian in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight." K.Gibran. Your Father was a delightful Man...we will miss him. Martha Stoll Albertson, and Family.

I missed the entry cut off so I am going to cheat as I light a candle that symbolizes unending love and life now and in transition.
Uncle Marshall and Aunt Shirley went with us to Millionaires Row at the Derby. I wanted to say thank you for the wonderful times at Lake Huron. Bo Derek stopped to hi to Uncle Marshall (wasn't all that impressed) but it was a great day. When we got home, I asked if he had a good time. He hesitated and with his honesty said, "All I really wanted to do was hang out at the stables and watch the horses." I felt a little inadequate and sad that he wasn't overwhelmed with the day. But me being a Reid also, I said,"Well why didn't you tell me that's what you wanted." It's was one of my favorite days!

Bob and Family: Just saw the obituary on the State Journal website. I am so sorry to hear about Marshall's passing. I always enjoyed talking and visiting with Marshall. Both at the store in Frandor and at MNB in Frandor. He was always a bright and happy addition to my day. He was always at the top of my list of people I had hoped to see whenever I made my trips back to the Lansing area. I will miss him greatly. My best as always to you and your entire family.

Bob: I want to wish you and your family God's grace at this time. I first met your dad back in 1965 when working as a page in the Michigan House of Representatives. Holden-Reid supplied our sports coats and opened accounts for each of us. From that time I would often stop in and buy clothes from your dad. He was always so courteous and helpful. And over the years I have seen those same qualities in you. Take care and God bless.

Maggie and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers. We did not know your grandpa, but I am sure he was a wonderful and kind man. Knowing you there must be a great blood line with him.
God Bless you. We love ya. Jery and Deb
