My Dearest Aunt Dee Dee, What a friend you are, Thank you so much for opening your arms and heart and home to me. Your pleasant personality and super sense of humor is so precious to me, I remember you had me make banana bread, and I did everything perfect...so I thought, then I sat down and rested for about 5 minutes and then I shouted "OH NO!" and you said whats wrong? and I said I forgot to put the bananas! you just sat there and laughed, and laughed at me....also another time you had me hunting for moral mushrooms at the park, you sat in the car and directed me where to look for them, and you told me "your mexican " get to pickin". I sure was glad I sat at the table and looked up phone numbers for you, helping you was a joy for me, It was a pleasure to be able to drive you to dialysis, and to be able to help, most of all I appreciate and felt love when ever you let me talk about my feelings. I love you, my precious Aunt Dee Dee...Loving you more everyday, niece Jacqueline Zaiser

To my momma DeeDee:
One of the sweetest most understanding and patient, kind and loving person I ever met. I was sad to see you go. I put my hand on your foot before you left and tried to pray u back but when I did that I felt the sun shining hot on you and I knew you wouldnt come back after drinking out of that river of HIS holy presence. I Love You Dee Dee.

MOM -
Mom was always a sweet lady. I have many memories of her. Ma was always loving to everybody, if you wanted to you could come over anytime sit with ma, watch t.v., eat or just talk with her. Ma was a good listner, she would listen to your problems and give you good advice. I remember one time I had my friends Danny and Tennessee over and we was in the kitchen with Ma just talking about our problems. When it came to my friends Ma would just tell it like it was. Ma would say things like "all you guys got to do is quit drinking and get a job and take care of your woman". We enjoyed those conversations. Even towards Ma's last days with us Ma would say "Deano what do you have in the garage"? (she knew I had a cold one out there) then she would ask is it cold? Ma would just ask if I could pour alittle for her to sip. To me them were quality times me and Ma shared. Other memories of Ma, she would always give me ideas on how to make money. She would say dean, you should start a taco/burrito stand (when I was working a tec-mar) or start your own business painting then she would say if I were young and healthy like you Id put all you guys to shame. Mom was also a very giving person I remeber when I had my own place I needed pot and pans and mom would just tell me take what you need mijo. Except one time I remember I tried walking out of the house with her menudo pot she stopped me right away she said dean thats my menudo pot no,no,no! put it back. I found that funny at the time. Mom even helped me with community service I had to do. I told her my situation next thing I knew she made one phone call to the church asking if they needed help (without me knowing) and sure enough mom said your doing your community service at the church (fiesta weekend) :) thanks mom I ended up doing all my 24hr. community service that weekend and got feed real good for free :)Anyways, im here taking care of these issues I had been struggling with (addiction) and learned that I have to love myself before I can love another, I learned I have to respect myself before I can another. Im fighting for my sanity, Im fighting for my life and my self respect. I just wish I would of done this before Ma passed, but I do know, That with faith, the Lord, my family, and that special person who been with me through good and bad times (Featherwood) by my side nothing is impossible. Thank you LORD. So I say, if you still have your parents alive today let them know you love them because just like that saying Life's too short. Love you Ma.

To a woman who touched my heart Delores Salinas:
I remember how you used to welcome me in your home and how you loved your family, the way you made sure to keep in touch with everyone and let them know you cared, how you loved your children and never failed to let them know what they meant to you and how your children loved you. You always had a way to make me giggle and oh how warm it was in the kitchen cause you were there. Thanks for the coffee and testing my pies :) thank you for your son Deano and I will never forget how you touched my life. Thank you, Ill see you on the other side.
Love ya,
Feather Wood.

November 18,2009 I was in the shower thinking to GOD how much I desire just to give mom a hug and tell her how much I love her because I didnt get a chance to do those things before she passed on.
November 19, 2009 I had a dream, I was at my moms house getting ready for work as I walked out the kitchen like I would normally do I said "bye mom" and at that moment in my dream I realized that she was standing there by the stove she looked herself but had a freshness to her, and her hair was done but it looked light (not as in the color) and I knew in my dream that she had passed already so I went up to her, she didnt say anything but I hugged her, told her I loved her and in my dream I could smell the cream she puts on her face and was just crying. Well when I woke up, I had tears just pouring down my face and for a moment I didnt remember I even had a dream until I asked myself "why am I crying" then I remembered, The things I desired when speaking with GOD came to pass and I thank him so much for allowing that experiance to happen to me. Love you....xoxo Andrea

STACY ADAMS BY DEAN REY -
Im here in H.R.P (hispanic Rehab Program) thinking of what to do. So im looking around my room and start going through my dresser drawers from top to bottom, NOTHING; So I open my closet door and right away I see my Stacy Adams. "Ah" my shoes I tell myself. I figure I'll shine my shoes while at the same time Im thinking maybe someday I'll get to wear them while Im here in rehab, you know, maybe to the store or maybe Antonio will take us to an outside AA meeting or something. Anyways, I get done cleaning my shoes and put them back in my closet. The very next day my counsler Naomi pulls me out of a group meeting around 2:30p.m. she says its an a emergency, I have no clue whats going on, so she takes me to her office and as I walk in I see my two cousins Tina and Cory. Right away I think of "MOM"! It was really hard to just stand there and wait for them to tell me what happened but I know it was hard for them as well to let me know that MOM had passed on a couple of hours ago. If im correct she passed around 12noon. So my cousins said lets go were here to take you home, so I go upstairs to pack a couple of things next thing I open is my closet door to grab my tenny shoes, first thing I see are my "Stacy Adams" so the moral to my story is everything happens for a reason and I strongly believe that the good Lord had me shining my shoes the night before so I would look nice the next day when we burried "MA". My little short dear loving "MA" God Bless
LOVE YOU, your son....Dean Rey

aunt Dee Dee,I have some of the best childhood memories with and your family. My first trip to Texas,California, and almost every weekend to Ovid. I will nver forget your canned pickles in the basement cupboard that the boys and I use to get into. They were the best. I will never forget everytime we would get a mosquito bite or a boo boo you would put that red stuff on it I think Alan and I just liked having red dots all over. I also appreciate as a grown girl with two boys you took me in your home. That shows what a big heart you had and love you had for people and your family. Thank you so much for all those great times. Always in my memory. Love you, miss you your niece Tina Salinaz-Alvarado

To:Adam, her husband, her children:Alen,Andrea,Dean and Grand Babies. My Prayers Go Out To All Of You.
Your wife, your mother, and grandma was life. God gave her the breath of life and she bacame a living, loving and sharing human being. God gives,God takes. Her life to me wasn't the number of days God gave her to live here on earth. Her life was and will always be the days I spent with her doing, talking, going places, good time bad times. She was everything you remember of her. She praised the lord from sunrise to sunset, from the time she woke up,to the time she went to sleep, she was talking on the phone doing for people. She was always blessing someone somehow, even when she didn't have it she would find a way to get it for you. I remember borrowing their '68 Nova SS Supersport one day in Ovid,Michigan. I got into an accident with it,when I went to the house to tell them along with the police, the officer waited outside for me,DeeDee decided she was going to "be me" by wearing my coat and taking the blame because I didn't have my driver's license with me,she went out there and pretended to be me and helped me out! She shared everything, always giving half of what everyone gave her. In fact the friday of 10-9-09 she gave me a box of grapes, three days before she passed. The last thing we did together she wanted to go to a spanish concert at Francis Park,so we went and she really enjoyed that. We talked alot on the phone, had many conversations. I was her favorite little corner when she needed to talk about any subject. It's a wonderful thing to have a mother. We lost our mother when I was 18 years old. When I moved to Lansing from Munger,Michigan. I lived with her. She became my second mother. When I got my first job at the bank I didn't have a car so I had to take a bus. She said "You are going to have to learn how to use the bus" I said "I don't know how to take the bus" she said "It's easy Joanna, just go and stand on the corner and when you see it comming, wave your hand and the bus will stop and pick you up" Well I did just that. The bus didnt stop,in fact the bus driver waved back at me and kept on going! I went back home and told her what happened,we just couldn't stop laughing! When I was just 21 she decided to ground me LOL,when I got my first car she was there cheering me on,whatever I needed to move on she was there, she took care of my kid's when I went to work. So many stories we lived. She was my mother, she was my sister, she was my friend, she was also my aunt. To have all this in one person was a gift from God loving me. I thank God for allowing her to live here on earth these 69 years. Tears fill my eyes because I will miss her and tears fill my eyes with joy because she recieved her reward for all the great things she did for people, she recieved eternal life with God! She is at peace with no pain. Thank you DeeDee for everything! Miss You And Love You,Your Sister.

We would like to express our condolences to uncle Adam and the Salinas family. Aunt DeDe will be missed by her family in California. She was such a loving, kind, patient woman. What a wonderful example of a great mom and wife. To Mary Zamaripa she was considered a sister, NOT sister-in-law. They really loved and respected each other. Aunt DeDe would welcome us with open arms whenever we went to Lansing. We always knew there was a home for us to stay when we were in Michigan.
God Bless the Salinas family during this difficult time.

ok where can I start with grama. first she is the best grama ever. I can go to her for anything from girls to can I have some money for the movies haha. and then when I would ask her for money she would always tell me to go to uncle alan cause he has all her money. but when I say I need it now she tells me to go look in her secret stash under the tv in the kitchen and what do you know theres a 10 dollar bill right there.when ever I would go to her house it smells like mexican food all the time theres never a day with out the smell of mexican food in that house. In my eyes I think she was the best cook in the world. she was always watching channel 65 when emeral was teaching people how to cook. she watched it all night long. even sometimes when I go to her house now I can smell a hint of her food then the next second its gone. I miss those days to be able to go ask her can you make me some pancakes then 5 minutes later she is calling my name to come get my food. she was the one that taught me how to make eggs.she was always wanting to teach me how to cook but I never wanted to learn. her most famous desert was her pinapple upside down cakes, those cakes were super good. I miss her so much. all though she is in a better place i wish she was still here with me. to guide me and give me advise i will need later in life. well i am going to stop writing here cuz i can be here all day typing about my grama but im out, i love you grama and i will never forget you

Wow, how unexpected. I wasnt able to share at the funeral how great of a mother, grandmother and friend she was to me and my kids, cause it was to hard for me to do. My mom was the best example and living testimony of a woman of God. I could go to her and talk to her about anything whether it was good or bad and knew she would tell me something that would help me or build me back up she never downed me or told me something to break me down. I love you mom...where u are, you have no more pain...,where u are you can see perfectly...,where you are you will never have any problem resting...where u are there is no sorrow, only love, joy, happiness and wholeness. Your complete and I pray that I can be just like you because your character and who you are is just like Christ and you mean the world to me. Ill miss our late night talks, and going over and making you tortaitas (everytime u would get that craving :) but I am at peace because I know your in a better place and I WILL SEE YOU AGAIN and I will do my best to make you a proud momma I LOVE YOUUUUUUU
