I was so sorry to hear of Ellie's death. She had a remarkable career and was the family's history recorder, keeping track of all the relatives and ancestors.

Dear Cheech and Marlow: Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. While we are distanced by space and time, I will never forget all the good times we Banks cousins shared. I have so enjoyed the phone calls and e-mail connection with Ellie these past few years. She said goodbye the way we would all like to go. Please stay in touch. Yvonne (Lantz) and Max Lee

My heart goes out to you all. My mom (Jean Watkins Miller) was Ellie's mom's cousin (that's our family connection). Ellie and I e-mailed back and forth quite a bit (as she did with many others). I, too, will miss her wonderful family updates and her sense of humor.

We were happy to get to see you and spend time together when we were in Florida during the winter months of February and March. We enjoyed the times you came to Anna Maria Island to see us. We have a great picture of Eleanor and Phil at our condo on Anna Maria. Glenna and Phil

My mother's mother was a Watkins, so I guess that's how the relationship existed. I will miss Elie's family updates. She was a line that tied us all together. I hope her last days were peaceful.
