Ellen M. Hauser

Ellen M. Hauser Grand Ledge Ellen was born on August 9, 1915 in Watervliet, MI the daughter of Fred A. and Mame L. (Healy) Houser and died October 3, 2009 in Grand Ledge, MI. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence G. Hauser in 1981, and brothers Fred A. and George H. Houser. She is survived by three sons: Michael of Grand Ledge, James of Rodney, MI, and Richard of Grand Ledge, and his three children, Rachel (Terry) Kaminski, their daughter Ruby, and Theodore and Richard; daughter, Mary Ellen (Daniel) Rushing of Indian Trail, NC, and their children Janie and Jordan; and sister-in-law, Nelcie Houser of Lansing. Ellen was a graduate of St. Mary High School (class of 1933). She was an active member of Holy Cross, St. Gerard and St. Mary Cathedral Parishes in Lansing during her lifetime. The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W. Washtenaw St., Lansing from 6-8 p.m. Thursday where the Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2009 at St. Mary Cathedral, 219 Seymour Ave, Lansing with the Rev. Msgr. George C. Michalek as Celebrant. Mrs. Hauser will lie-in-state at the Cathedral from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday. The Rite of Committal will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff-family at Independence Village in Grand Ledge for the wonderful care afforded mom these last 7 years.
