Emil Gillette Obituary

Emil "Gil" H. Gillette Leslie Passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009 at the age of 94. Surviving are his wife of 71 years, Helen, three daughters, JoAnne Gillette, Carol (Bruce) Curtiss, Sandra Craft, two grandchildren, Chad (Julie) and Jeffrey (Mindy) Curtiss, five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Danielle, Dylan, Kylee, and Charlie, one sister, Caroline Norton, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Rocky, son-in-law, Earl Craft, and two brothers, Fred and Lester Gillette. Emil loved nature, especially walking, travelling, and sports. He also liked to read and spend time with his family. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. For those who wish memorial contributions may be made to the Lansing Hospice, Stoneleigh Residence, 3411 Stoneleigh, Lansing, MI 48910. Arrangements are being handled by the J.C. Adams Funeral Home, Leslie Chapel (517) 589-8216.

Aunt Helen, Joey, Carol and Sandy,

I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Gil's passing. I loved him very much! We sure had great times as kids at all of our gatherings. I loved going up in the loft of the barn at your place and playing. He was alwys so athelic and in great shape. I will always remember him with his horse, dogs and motorcycles. He and Dad and Uncle Lester are back together again in Heaven. He was really a great man!
