Esther Gorsline Obituary

Esther L. Gorsline Williamston Born March 27, 1927, in Cadillac; died September 16, 2009, at the age of 82. Esther had retired from Williamston School District and along with her husband were United Methodist Church ministers in Berrien Springs, Napoleon and Suttons Bay returning to Williamston in 2001. She loved camping, Bible studies, traveling and vacationing in Florida during the winters. Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, in 2001. Surviving are her daughter, Connie (Mike) Robinson of Ludington; sons, Ron (Mary Sue) Gorsline of Williamston and Tom (Theresa) Gorsline of Oxford, MD; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Nixon and Helen Gorsline of Williamston; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 17, at 10 a.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston, with the Rev. William E. Haggard officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday 1-hour prior to the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Ingham Regional Medical Center Hospice, 401 W. Greenlawn, Lansing, MI, 48910 or UMCOR (United Methodist Relief Organization) c/o any United Methodist Church, in memory of Esther Gorsline www.gorslineruncimanfuneralhomes.com.
