G. Hamilton Obituary

G. Francis "Fritz" Hamilton Leslie Went to see the Master Carpenter on Friday, December 24, 2010, at the age of 96. Surviving are his children, Garth Frank Hamilton, Sr., Gerald "Jake" (Shirley) Hamilton, Esther (Jerry) Jackson, John Hamilton; 12 grandchildren, Robin (Dewy), Michael (Carrie), Beth (Shawn), Janet (Chris), Terrie (Bill), Debbie (Kevin), Ada (Bob), Tim (Val), Garth Jr. (Gay), Harry, Kathy (Ken), Emily (Kimmo); 27 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lois Karn; brother-in-law; David (Joyce) Karn; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; two daughter-in-laws, Margret and Marilyn Hamilton; great-grandson, Robert Dill; two brothers, Harold (Helen) Hamilton and Harry (Marion) Hamilton; two sisters, Shirley Marie Hamilton and Ila Gene Hamilton; numerous in-laws. Fritz was a carpenter, barn builder and farmer in the greater Ingham County area. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, steam engines and telling stories. Fritz was also a member of the Felt Plains United Methodist Church, the Mason Masonic Lodge #70, and the Leslie Tractor Club. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. For those who wish memorial contributions may be made to the Felt Plains United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to Great Lakes Hospice. Arrangements are being handled by the J.C. Adams Funeral Home, Leslie Chapel (517) 589-8216.
