Genevieve Halfmann Obituary

Genevieve S. Halfmann Fowler Genevieve S. Halfmann, 82 of Fowler, MI died Saturday, May 08, 2010 at Ingham Regional Medical Center. Genevieve was born on June 12, 1927 in Westphalia, MI the daughter of Albert and Mary (Miller) Spitzley. She married Raymond J. Halfmann on October 21, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 2002. Genevieve was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She made many cakes for weddings and other special events. She is survived by sons, James (Beth), Steven (Rosemary) and David (Linda) Halfmann all of Fowler; daughters, Mary Jo (David) Duffy of Lansing, Dawn (Steven) McClahanan of Alabama and Cynthia (Larry) Pline of Pewamo; 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Angela Schueller of Lansing, Beatrice Maker of Colorado and Karen (Jack) Love of Laingsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Arthur and Kenneth. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler with Rev. Fr. Dennis Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friend's at Most Holy Trinity Activity Center in Fowler on Monday, May 10, 2010, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 3:00 p.m.. Monday and a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to Fowler Fire & Rescue. The family is being served by Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, 989-224-4422, St. Johns, MI.
