George Willard Obituary

George "Pete" Willard Pierson Age 85, peacefully passed into the Lord's care June 15, 2010. Preceded in death by parents Florence and Otto Pierson and sister Bethel Desmond. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ida Mae, nee Keck, sisters Donna (Larry) Albert, Lois Ann (Myron) Whipple and brother Roger (Ellie) Pierson. Loving father of Sherry (Dean) Hyrkas, Michael (Lucy) Pierson and Debora (Kenny) Bowers; cherished grandfather of Kelly (Nick) Lekas, Karrie (Bill) Ryan, Kasey (Matt) Emery, Amy (Pastor Bill) Savage, Kimberly (Michael) Spangler, Christine (Michael Chapman) Pierson; great-grandfather of Billy, Nicholas, Jack, Annetta, Mikayla, Paige, Will, Ryann, Andrew, Jorja and one on the way; beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Retired from White Farm Equipment and long-time employee of AVI. He loved the outdoors, singing and dancing. Visitation 10a.m., funeral 11a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Parkview United Methodist Church, 344 S. Algonquin Ave., Columbus, OH 43204. Rev. Dr. Patricia Cook and Pastor Bill Savage officiating. Memorials to the church or American Heart Association. Burial and graveside service at 1:00 pm Monday, June 21, 2010 at Greenwood Cemetery in Fowlerville, MI. www.brownvanhemert.com to leave condolences.
