Han Grunwald Obituary

Hans Louis Grunwald Villa Rica, GA Formerly of Lima, OH and Lansing, MI Born March 23, 1923 to Otto and Emma Grunwald, Hans Louis Grunwald died October 6, 2009 at the age of 86. Hans was a proud graduate of Michigan State University. His first date with the love of his life was on the Red Cedar Golf Course. He and Jean later married for 48 wonderful years before her passing in 1998. Hans retired from Hayes-Albion Corporation, Jackson, Michigan. In his spare time, Hans volunteered as a member of the Kawanis Club. He enjoyed playing golf, and was a Toastmaster. Whatever Hans was doing, He always had a positive outlook on life. Hans is survived by his daughters, Linda Grunwald, and Cathy (Michael) Tyson; 1 grandchild, Julia Moore (Dale); and 2 great-grandchildren, Jordan and Gavin Moore. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing, MI. The family and friends will meet at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing, at Noon and drive in procession to the cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Kiwanis Club Endowment Fund (Lansing), P.O. Box 19129, Lansing, MI 48901-9129 in memory of Hans. Online condolences for the family may be made at www.gorslineruncimanfuneralhomes.com
