Irene Pennington Obituary

Irene D. Pennington Portland Born August 12, 1925 to Edward and Susanna (Simon) Nurenberg, passed away on September 23, 2009 with her family by her side. She was an Avon representative for more than 30 years. Irene was preceded in death by her parents and her 8 brothers and sisters. Irene is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, Dale; their 4 children, Dick (Debbie) Pennington, Judy (Don) Lambie, Sandra (Jim) Roberts, and Jim Pennington; grandchildren, Corey Goodemoot, Darby (Dawn) Goodemoot, Lynsey (Derek) Evangelista, Jeff (Shannon) Pennington, Troy Lambie, and Kim (boyfriend Ryan) Pennington; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Chloe, Dominic, Cedir, Garrit, Greysen, Will and a new baby boy due in November; many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Keith Treman, Pastor at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland with Interment following at North Eagle Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia County Commission on Aging, 115 Hudson St, Ionia, MI 48846, the Ionia County Community Mental Health, 375 Apple Tree Dr., Ionia, MI 48846 or to the Hospice House of Mid Michigan, 1210 W. Saginaw Hwy, Lansing, MI 48915 in memory of Mrs. Irene D. Pennington. Online condolences may be made at www.schraubenlehman.com
